Pilates and hot yoga keep her at her best.

Over the years, Jessica Alba has made it clear that health is important to her. Obviously, she also likes to sweat with her girlfriends.

Jessica posted a photo of herself and BFF Lizzy Mathis on Instagram, wearing matching fitness equipment. Both Jessica and Liz wore black sports bras and high-waist yoga shorts to show off their super toned abs. They both looked super relaxed and happy, just hanging out together. "To pair with @lizzymathis πŸ’žπŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ #selfcare day," Jessica wrote in the title.

One person wrote: "Beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯" and people are all commenting. "Jess ❀️ is so beautiful," another said.

But how does she keep her figure? The 40-year-old actress and entrepreneur previously told Women's Health that the pandemic has changed the way she exercises. "I keep thinking,'I need to sweat in the water, I need muscle failure, I need to feel like I just ran a marathon.' This is the effort I need to put in," she said.

For Jessica, this means up to four times a week, which is heavy for Pilates reformers. "I feel every muscle in my core," she said of Pilates. "I don't even know what those things I have." When she is not doing Pilates, she will take a spinning class or do hot yoga.

Jessica told Burdy that she likes high-intensity exercise. "I like to move around," she said. "I don't like to repeat too much. I will always exercise with friends because it is more fun."

In general, Jessica said she just likes to be active and healthy. "If you can be active in any form or form, it is always good to keep the blood flowing," she told E! before. "If you can do it two or three times a week, do a little exercise, whether it's yoga, walking, biking or whatever... just do it."

The founder of Honest Company also eats well, focusing on plant-based meals and avoiding alcohol four days a week. However, she said, "Friday, Saturday and Sunday, all bets are cancelled. This seems to be modest to me."

Jessica also told Burdy that her favorite breakfast is avocado toast and poached eggs-and she likes to cook a lot of food for dinner. "My family likes me to make Cornish game hens-or fried fries, pasta and lasagna," she said. "Kids are easy; they like almost everything. I like to cook. In summer, we do a lot of barbecue; in winter, we make barbecue. We always eat grilled vegetables. I kind of like to make anything according to the weather."
