A nurse was horrified to find that she was “fat at 50” so much that she dropped five stones—from 14 stones of 18 stones to 9 stones of 10 stones—to celebrate with a series of adventure achievements Her new body, from flying to airplane to scuba diving.

Sharon Medhurst, 51, suffers from high blood pressure. When she turns 50 in July 2020, she feels so irritable and short, that she joined a diet plan two months later-seven Lose five stones every month.

Sharon lives with her 57-year-old hospital porter husband Paul and their 17-year-old student son Charlie in Northfield, Birmingham. She said: “I feel old, sloppy, and dissatisfied with my appearance. I struggled to walk away. Far away, the stairs were like a nightmare. I realized that if I didn’t make changes, the situation would only get worse.

"As a nurse, I know the health effects of obesity. I already have high blood pressure and are in pre-diabetes. I don't want to go out or avoid social activities. I have no interest in clothes and what to wear.

"It's very simple-I like food, but it is slowly taking my life."

Everything changed in September 2020, shortly after her 50th birthday in July, as the pandemic broke out, Sharon-a yo-yo diet who had tried various weight loss programs before The person—decided to ultimately commit to changing lifestyles.

Sharon is 5 feet 4 inches tall and 14th in weight. The body mass index used to measure healthy weight is 33.4, while the NHS has a healthy range of 18.5 to 24.9, which makes her obese.

She chose the Cambridge Weight Plan 1:1 diet in September 2020 and reached the target weight of 9 stones in March, and her BMI is now a healthy 21.5.

Sharon's physical transformation strengthened her confidence. She wrote a list of wishes she wanted to achieve on her 50th birthday, and she found the life enthusiasm needed to start working.

Now she has completed everything from riding a hot air balloon to tandem skydiving.

"I have completely changed my life," she said.

Her bucket list begins with "tattoos"-so she has a flower pattern tattooed on her right foot.

But as Sharon's waistline shrinks, she begins to deal with some of the more adventurous items on her bucket list.

"I don't like flying-so I took a flight lesson at Halfpenny Green Airport in Wolverhampton," she explained.

"Then, at Christmas, my husband bought me a tandem skydiving, which I did at Sibson Airport in Peterborough.

"In October 2020, I also did scuba diving in Cyprus. We fed fish underwater and saw turtles. It was great.

"In September, I flew over Staffordshire in a hot air balloon."

Now she wants to drive a Formula One car at the famous Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire and plans to climb the mountain.

But while she is determined to stay slim and active, as a nurse, Sharon says the temptation to overeat is a long-standing problem.

"Usually, patients are very cute and we are very grateful for our help. They will buy things like cakes and chocolates to show their gratitude-so it's easy when you continue to work in difficult shifts."

Faced with such a difficult job, she rarely spends time following a healthy diet. Instead, she orders Indian takeaways and grabs McMuffins from McDonald's during the trip, instead of considering a balanced and nutritious meal plan.

The plan she followed was "quite regular, 200-calorie nutritious meals, which is good for me because it takes away any options. Keep going and you will lose weight-it's that simple.

"But for me, the benefits go far beyond the reduction in waist circumference.

“I felt fat when I was 50 years old, and felt great when I was 51. My friends and family all said that I looked different from what I looked like.

"Weight loss means that I am no longer pre-diabetes, my blood pressure is much better, and for most of the past ten years, my weight has been 14th, and I feel better than in the past few years," she added road.
