England winger Max Mullins gets BIN lucky tights after Saracens hat-trick against Hornets

MAX MALINS is packing his lucky tights after gaining endless persistence by scoring on socks.

England winger Mullins became the first Premier League star to perform a hat-trick in a row-now he has seven attempts.

Lycra fans would like to thank him for his lucky leggings, because he fought wildly against the sad Hornets with a score of 56-15.

Mullins took advantage of the new rules of rugby, allowing the use of thigh-high socks to prevent cuts and burns on plastic courts.

But the 24-year-old player will not wear tights during a test mission in Twickenham next month.

Before flying to Jersey with Eddie Jones' team on Monday, the Saracen star said: "This is the power of tights.

"I know I will get some persistence, so I have to perform well.

"My leg was cut a few weeks ago and they just healed. After a few days of doing this, I can walk with straight legs.

"I don't want this to happen before the England training camp, so this is the reason behind it.

"It's too painful, so I don't want to experience it again. I think I will take it with it to withstand the heat and own it.

"I decided to wear them very late. I took them with me and saw Jonny May wearing them. This opened the door for everyone.

"I hope I don't need them anymore. They are now back in the locker. The appearance and the number of comments I got is exactly what I expected.

"It comes from different angles, but you must have it."

The full-back turned side forward Mullins has now made 6 attempts in just 11 games.

Someone similar to Harry Kane added: "This wing business doesn't seem too bad.

"This is a very good result and performance, and I am very happy to be able to end some attempts.

"In terms of number of appearances, the percentage of playing on the wing is pretty good."

After slaughtering Bath with a record 71 points last Sunday, the third-ranked Sarris has scored 127 points and 18 attempts in the past two games.

England captain Owen Farrell scored 16 points.

Test teammates Jamie George, Billy Vunipola, Alex Lozowski and Ben Earl all landed.

The Hornets, plagued by injuries, defeated Jimmy Goppes and Zach Kibrich with a 32-15 score and were placed on the sword.

After seeing his injury list rise to 20 players and four more players in London were injured, boss Lee Blackett said: "The situation may be worse.

"We were too sloppy on the ball, and our set-piece took a day off.

"We have six people making their debut. I don't think you can take too many positive factors away from such a failure."
