Police said a man was shot in the leg at the Carmel Fitness Center on Main Street on Wednesday morning.

Officer Carmel spotted the man at Anytime Fitness at 110 W. Main St. before 4:30 in the morning

The police said they arrested the suspected Indianapolis shooter Moses Sauga in the area. Officials said that 25-year-old Sauga was shooting randomly in the building.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment. The police later said that his injuries were not life-threatening.

Shoaga has been initially charged with criminal recklessness, felony and carrying a pistol without permission.

There was a shooting in the same area earlier this week. On Monday afternoon, the police responded to reports about a threatening shooting by a potential armed person in the Carmel Art and Design District. The department said at the time that after investigation, these reports were determined to be "unconfirmed." The police have not yet stated whether the two incidents are related.

In-depth: The jailer "cruelly tortured" a dying man in a prison in Indiana. The prosecutor said it was not a crime.

According to the website of the national chain store, the Anytime Fitness fitness center is usually open 24 hours, but there are no employees present at certain times.

The shooting occurred in the Art and Design District, which is usually very lively during business hours. But hours after the shooting, the scene outside the stadium was still quiet and humble, because most businesses along the main street had not opened their doors in the morning.
